I find that acrylic paints work the best for any glass or ceramic surfaces

Folk Art Enamels for glass. Very affordable. They also have frost medium you can mix with it if you want a matte surface. However, it dries VERY quickly.

Follow directions exactly...and make sure to clean with soap and water then alcohol. That will assure that the paint stays put.

If you want a solid color, spray paint is always a good choice. If you want a high gloss it's best to spray on the inside so the glass it self will add the shine. If you do this, you'll have to put a small vase or jar inside to add water to for live flowers. You can also paint on the outside so you can use the inside for water, but will have to carefully hand wash with a damp cloth.

Spraying the outside? Add some rubber bands first, use a frost paint, then spray away. You'll end up with a swirly cute design on the vase.

If you want transparent color use glass tint. I think you could find it at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Don't remember if I had to heat cure it but it is beautiful. Prep is essential so make sure to wash your glass and alcohol rinse.
