I would like to change the color of my tinted glaze

Cj on Jul 31, 2015If you pour it into a paint, it will change. I have no idea whether it would lighten it or darken it....mix a brush full of the paint you like, with a brush full of the glaze and see what comes up! Let us know.....Helpful Reply

Margaret on Jul 31, 2015Yes. You can tint glaze with the acrylics you buy at the craft store. I did when I glazed my bathroom. Be sure to clear coat it if using it in a high humidity area.Helpful Reply

Z on Aug 01, 2015I'd highly recommend to do so with a small amount first making sure to track the ratio of glaze to paint so you know how to mix that larger amount when you find the color you like.Helpful Reply

Lisa on Aug 01, 2015Thanks everyone. So, now I know that I can tint my glaze, but I do not know what color to mix with the glaze, since it is already tinted a very light grey color. Any suggestions?Helpful Reply

Lisa on Aug 03, 2015Thanks Becky, that's what I'm going to do. I am currently testing 3 different color combinations and waiting (impatiently), for the test boards to dry so I can make the final decision. Thanks Everyone!Helpful Reply
