Torpedo grass

Torpedo grass as defined on the internet grows through a root system that runs parallel to the ground and then sends up sprouts. I have done everything other than round-up or similar products. It runs through my border plants that are established. A photograph will be difficult because it blends in with the plants it invades. You can't pull it up because you only get a handful of the skinny little blades; no roots. I've dug up the entire border a couple of times and it still comes back.

@Barb Rosen do you have any advice here?

Thanks, Barb, I've read the information. It confirms what I've experienced and is pretty discouraging.

Well...PLEASE for the sake of the bees and other natural living things..avoid round up! The only satisfactory way we have found is to completely dig it up and out! It was a chore, but it worked. My husband had a hole 4 feet wide by 3 feet deep and we sifted out all of the runners....Sorry!

Is this the same thing as Monkey grass? It's such a pain here in NC! You have to get EVERY root out or it will return again.
