Where are they planted?Partial shade is best. They may have gotten a fungus. Have you had high humidity? Take some leaves to a garden center who offers good advice. If it turns out to be a fungus, there are many sprays for that.

take a leaf to your local agricultural extension agent's office.He/she will tell you what the problem is,what is causing that problem,as well as how to remedy the problem.I believe most all state universities have an agriculture department and they have extension agents spread throughout the states with a wealth of information on all things growing.

It seems to me the spots are heat stress from full sun. I have one plant in full sun which gets the spots if I fail to water regularly, my other one gets a bit of shade and has no spots, they are right next to each other. Be sure to give plants plenty of water at the root early morning before the temperature gets too hot.
