Paintable wall paper
-
Z on Aug 06, 2015I've never heard of PVC wallpaper, but what's known as paintable wallpaper would work just fine as a back splash. The raised areas can be damaged, but I can't seeing that as a problem since one doesn't often knock things into a back splash. I have some on a cabinet that I use almost daily and in four years there's been no damage at all.Helpful Reply

Deborah on Aug 07, 2015Since it is paper, I would consider covering with a piece of plexi glass, using clear mirror holder. You can get either one at Lowes or Home Depot and they will it to size.Helpful Reply

Kathrine Anderson on Aug 08, 2015I have used this type of wallpaper as a back splash in a previous kitchen. I didn't even paint mine and it worked great. Please note that it was not used behind the range or in back of a sink due to the lay out of the kitchen. But it is easily paint able so can withstand lots of abuse. I loved it.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Aug 08, 2015Go for it. It's a lot cheaper than tile, and could be stripped off at some future time if you wanted to.without a major mess.Helpful Reply

Kathrine Anderson on Aug 09, 2015Oh yes. I think you might just want to paint or seal it maybe to protect it from splashes. I really liked the look of it. Good luck! If you decide to do it post a pic!Helpful Reply
