Pet urine stains on wood floor

Moxie on Aug 09, 2015if you are putting in new carpet; seal the wood floor with a few coats of zinsser varnish based primer...I did it..sealed it for good. If you don't like that option there is a product called anti-icky poo (seriously) that has microscopic bugs in it that eat the urine and when the urine is gone and thus the food supply is exhausted, the mirco bugs die. I have used that to and it actually worked great - the stain got smaller every day and then was gone out of carpet.Helpful Reply

Jodyhoot on Aug 09, 2015you might consider restaining the boards different colors to make it blend in; there are now stains you can apply w/o sanding first. Otherwise the boards need to be replaced most of the time. We did this on the walls of our log cabin for something different in one room; it looks great.Helpful Reply
