This Japanese garden is short on space but long on detail. Every square inch was designed by Sadafumi Uchiyama and installed by Ross NW Watergardens.
The water feature houses koi and is the focal point for the back yard.
The front yard has a rain garden that handles the property's stormwater.Gas
The existing retaining wall was cut and given a facade to soften it.
The view from the deck towards the water feature and slate patio.
The water feature is fed by this main fall and by a meandering stream that originates in a side yard.
A small garden was created by setting this stone column on it's side.
Local basalt was used for the front steps and retaining walls, with granite boulders anchoring it.
Native plantings help soften the hardscape and water feature.
