Upcycled Cans for Kitchen Decor

Hi all! Kristina here. This months here on 2CrochetHooks is upcycling Cans/Jars. For my first craft I decided to do something in the kitchen. I had 2 cans, a regular veggie can and a Campbell's soup can, and decided to make them match.
We are on the list for a new home from Habitat and my hope is to decorate in a beach theme - so let's make some upcycled kitchen decor to fit my theme!
The larger can I decorated with some pale blue duct tape around the body with a flower blue and white tape at the top. Next I glued on some adorable shell stickers. The beautiful blue with the shells makes me think ocean!
I covered the smaller can the same way and added a few shells for interest. Next I used a magnet glued to the back of the can so I could hang this smaller can on the fridge to hold pens and markers - so handy to have when making your grocery list!
I happened to glance over and saw the knife holder. How boring when next to my new beachy can! I covered it in the ocean blue tape, added the Hawaiian flower tape to the top edge and a few shells and walah!!
My kitchen utensils are now happily sitting in their new beach themed holders! Two upcycled cans, some duct tape, a few stickers and less than an hour! This is such a budget happy and easy craft, I could change my decor ever month! To see the step by step, visit our blog! Thanks for crafting with us, Kristina & Millie
