We are making these pots as a group, what else can you use instead of paint cans to put the project on?

Hi, glad to hear someone is trying this great idea. You can use trash cans upside down, popcorn tins, one woman draped it over a small chair and put It in her garden. These projects can be painted or you can add cement color before starting. If you want a tall one, stack several sturdy cans to give it hanging room to dry. You can always rub on a little more cement on the item after you hang it and notice a thin spot. Enjoy

I have used all kinds of containers. Anything goes as long it has a straight bottom so it will stand on it's own. I have been known to grab anything within reach if I still have cement mixture left to use up and have run out of containers. Big, little, square, circles, triangles anything with a flat bottom. Also be sure to try all kinds of materials, I like to buy cloth napkins at garage sales, the ones with fringe are cool when they dry. Be sure you are happy with the placement of every part of the cloth, the coolness of these containers is in the folds and edges.
