Janet Pizaro on Aug 21, 2015UNderstanding you cannot afford to do the whole gut job If these cabinets are real wood perhaps paint them white and paint your walls blue since thats your favorite. If you do not want to paint the cabinets just paint the walls and excessorixe with your color scheme.Helpful Reply

Lagree Wyndham on Aug 21, 2015Yep all you need is some color to spruce it up, paint the cabinets if you wish. The look very streamline so i think I would not paint at this time but just add color to your walls.Helpful Reply

Missdi on Aug 21, 2015Looks like a great space! Hang a curtain from the ceiling in front of the bathtub. Paint the walls. Painting the cabinets and adding hardware to them would make the room look like brand new.Helpful Reply

B. Enne on Aug 21, 2015You are so lucky to have a predominantly white bathroom with silver accents! I would paint out the backsplash in white. If you want to paint the cabinets, I would paint them white as others have suggested. IMO white wainscoting or board and batten with a darker blue above looks great...kind of cottage-y or nautical...with white fluffy towels. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/454652524852760640/ https://www.pinterest.com/pin/265642077992438386/ https://www.pinterest.com/pin/287597126174962954/Helpful Reply

Gra1761349 on Aug 22, 2015I would work with what you have, which is white and green. I'd start with taking down the sliding shower doors and hanging a pretty shower curtain. Then add silver or white and silver handles to the drawers. Pretty botanical pictures, flowers and decor would work nicely with the back splash. Maybe add a tall dresser or shelves to the area between the sink and tub and hang pretty towels on the towel rack. Would love to see what you end up doing. Have fun!Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Aug 22, 2015The room definetely needs color, but I would not paint the cabinets. You can add new hardware to the cabinets for a different look. I like Grammy's ideas. I hope you post pictures of what you decide to do.Helpful Reply

Kathleen on Aug 23, 2015I would suggest some modern and simple sleek door handles and towel bars. Painting cabinets should be done professionally. Possibly staining cabinets a darker color. But the cabinets could be left alone too. Paint a sand color on walls with pale blue towels for a beach theme.Add few beach themed decorations or picture on the wall.good luck to you.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Aug 23, 2015There's a lot of oak. I would replace the oak towel bar. Like the idea of staining the cabs a darker colour. Would look at some wallpaper samples with a blue that goes with the green in your backspash and perhaps a silver or darker colour. Hundreds of patterns. A sophisticated stripe might look nice as a wainscotting on bottom, paint on top.Helpful Reply

Kris Grosse on Aug 23, 2015sponge paint those tiles to match a soft seafoam blue wall..stain cabinets dark add chrome fulls, the long new look...keep the doors add a short out door bamboo look valance to meet top ledge of door, add white towels with trim to match walls..it will give a beachy cottage look a nice glass lantern with a matching color candle or add greens to cascade out of opening, on counter use napkin ring to hold small guest towels.. add matching beachy liquid soap holder..NO tooth brush stuff... Another option is to sponge the shower doors.. you can always wash it off.Get rid of those strip bulbs!Helpful Reply
