Pro-Com ventless gas space heater distracts from decor

I would like to put a modern floating fireplace mantel/shelves above a pro-com vent less gas space heater, or even a faux fireplace surround. The heater can be used sitting on a floor with it's accommodating feet or wall mounted. What materials are best to tackle either decor idea?
