Uncle's garage find

Here is another little guy I picked up at my uncle's house. I'm not sure of his origin but he has been in one of his garages for years. It looks like someone may have salvaged the drawers from another dresser and built a box around them? He is only 24" tall, 28" wide and 20" deep. The drawers are in great shape, the body is made from 1/2" plywood. 2 drawers on the top and 6 small drawers below.
I'm looking for some creative guidance on this little guy. I've thought about adding legs, then thought maybe I should build a shelf unit for the top to give it height. But nothing seems to call out to me yet. Any thoughts?

I think you need to decide where to use first.

@Lagree Wyndham I immediately thought kitchen also. Remove bottom set of drawers and insert open shelves to store items like platters, electric skillet. At 24" tall, it needs to be taller. Do you have a coffee table the right size to put on bottom to elevate it or a smaller one on top for extra storage? Would have to assess for mixing styles.

I would take out bottom drawers, find a color of chalk paint that you like and paint chest and 2 top drawers. Pu a couple of baskets in bottom. It looks as though it might be the right level to place a TV on. Change the handles and it will really pop, Good luck with what ever you choose. Would love to see the finished product. It would also look good as cabinet in a bathroom, or a child's room with the baskets holding toys.

My typing table is 27", the perfect height for my computer or sewing machine. (I'm short) I would add square feet (can make from 2x4 scraps) and if needed, a new top on top of the existing one. The bottom 6 drawers can be removed and used as a hutch or hanging shelves. Trim can be added to the front bottom and sides. Baskets in the bottom or doors and sliding shelf for the printer.

What a great piece! How about making it into a coffee or tea station? Find some cute shelves to hang above it to store or hang your mugs...Finish the piece in colors that tie in with your existing color scheme, remove the bottom drawers and put some beautiful baskets to hold your coffee, tea, and other supplies. On the top you can put your electric kettle and coffee maker, etc.
