DIY French Matches

My sweet daughter-in-law recently gave me a great-smelling candle and a little box of French matches. I loved the match box and thought it would be easy to make my own version using large kitchen matches.
I used the Word program on my computer and chose a font that was close to the font on the box of matches I was copying. I printed it out on scrapbook paper that I cut to fit my printer. Then I covered the box glue from a glue stick and stuck the new print-out to the box. I love the way it looks.
This is the original box of French matches (Allumettes) that i copied.
I bought three boxes of these big match for less than $3.00 which makes these both an easy and cheap DIY.
I also printed the graphic out on paper that looks like burlap. It will be perfect for fall. If you would like to get the graphics, please visit our blog.
