There are many floor restore products available at your home improvement floors.I believe one is actually called restore.

@Angela, do you know what the original finish was? If the floors are old it could be wax, which means you'd have to remove the old and wax again. Considering your in Ireland, there may be different products available to you, but I'll try to see what I can find once I know the original finish on your floors.

@Angela Nicholas I found a very informative video for laminate. Can you take a picture of the floor, close up if you can get a clear one, would help me help you more. I only have experience with solid wood and strand bamboo, which is why I had to Google for some help.

We have a wood floor that was looking dull after having been steamed to remove carpet adhesive. We used an olive oil/lemon juice mixture to rub into it, and that made it look like new! (1 part lemon juice to 2 parts olive oil).

@Daniel Johnson I have used similar. 1/3 cup white vinegar (cleaning component) and 2/3 cup Canola or veg. oil (refurbishing component). Also use this to smarten up and nourish worn furniture, wainscotting, etc.
