Chris on Aug 28, 2015try pouring hot water down the tubes at the back of the fridge. They maybe blocked and causing them to freeze. You can also poke a pipe cleaner or similar down to break up the blockage. Let me know how you go.Helpful Reply

Larissa Sneider on Aug 28, 2015That is the portion of the refrigerator where the air circulates from the freezer section to the fresh section. If the air is being blocked by fresh food, that food will freeze. Put smaller items there to allow air flow around them. Check the temperature of both the freezer and the refrigerator. You want the freezer below zero but the fresh food area should be between 35 and 39 degrees. Check the slider or dial to maintain this temperature range to keep food safe. Going below 35 degrees does not make the food an safer and may cause freezing.Helpful Reply

Wanda.ll on Aug 28, 2015Well you can thank glass shelves for that problem. Yes they are easier to clean but really cause bad air flow and cold spots due to no circulation now between stuff. Maybe just put glass jar stuff there or even your jug of milk to keep it nice and cold.Helpful Reply

C on Aug 28, 2015Had the same problem in mine. When I researched it, in addition to what others here already said, it mentioned to make sure the fridge was level from front to back. There are usually adjustable feet on the bottom of your fridge to level it.Helpful Reply

Gail on Aug 28, 2015My daughter had a problem with freezing in the fridge. The appliance guy was there fixing the washer (under warranty) and I asked him about the fridge. Hers was apparently a cheaper model and only had one dial for both freezer and fridge so if she put it one way the stuff in the freezer was soft and if she turned it down the stuff in the fridge froze. Vowed that next one (very soon) will have dual dials one for freezer and one for fridge.Helpful Reply

Vel1629730 on Aug 28, 2015You don't say what model and make ref. you have, but I have had some pretty high end models that did the same thing...The last one had a bad mother board...expensive to fix if you are not under warranty. Also, the repair man told me that you shouldn't put anything in front of the vent where the cold air enters the ref. Be sure to check your owner's manual, call customer service, and check the internet before you call the repairman! Best of luck!Helpful Reply

Pat on Aug 28, 2015Same here. We have a French door style. We moved the drawers in our fridge. The veggies were freezing, so we switched the drawer from the left to right side. The other drawer has pop, chip dip, yogurt, etc, so that works out fine on the left side.. It hasn't happened since. It only happens on the left side, where the icemaker is. But, occasionally the top shelf items by the icemaker sometimes freeze.Helpful Reply

Cynthia.pieters on Aug 29, 2015I had this problem and it was the seal on the door was not sealing in one area , so the fridge overworks to keep things cold. It even froze the jar of pickles. We had to level the fridge to get the seal to close properly.Helpful Reply

Renata on Aug 30, 2015Speaking of fridges....Has anyone tried taking out the water filter using maybe a pressure washer on them to clean them so u can reuse them. I am sooooo sick of buying them every 3 months! (Kenmore) I refuse! But sure miss my ice and water. And speaking of..my water hasn't been Cold for like ever! ( that's before I quit buying those expensive filters.) Anyone else have that problem? I figure they'll keep raising the prices as long as I keep buying.........Well guess what ?? I'm not buying! Have saved tons on using ice trays.. Just kind of inconvenient.Helpful Reply
