Help with fire pit
We want to build a small fire pit in our yard. We have a LOT of old cinder blocks and split face blocks. Can we just stack and build or do we have to cement in between? My husband is not the handyman type, so any help would be appreciated.

we built a firepit similar to what you are describing. We didn't cement the blocks together. They fit well together and are sturdy so we decided not to. Hope that helps!

First clear the area of grass and put down layer of sand or something that drains well and protect from fire spreading. Other wise first rain you will have small pond mud puddle. Need to allow for air and drain from bottom of bricks if you cement. Just put fire pit in search on this site you will find lots of plans and ideas. Design just depends how much time you want to put into it. Lots of cute ideas here even tops to put on to protect from rain and repurpose as table when not in use.
