I am sorta an elegant style type of person. I love things to be pretty. I love damask prints. I love classic black and whites. But I had a problem to sold. I didn't want any old shower curtain in my bathroom. The shower is the first thing that you see when you walk into my master bathroom. I wanted it to pop. I wanted it to be amazing! The problem that I was running into is that I had an overside tub insert {Can I Say U-G-L-Y} and I needed a curved shower curtain rod so that I could maximize the space for while I shower.
Curved Cornice Board for Shower
I knew that I wanted a cornice board above my shower. I just couldn't figure out how we would accomplish that.
Cornice board for oversized bathtub
We soon found some lauan wood. If you don't know (Like I didn't know) its the stuff that furniture builders use on the back that is kinda flexible. Its thin too.
Victorian themed cornice board
So with the lauan and by shaping a 2x6 board to curve needed we went about building the frame for the cornice board
