Sue Mcdermid on Aug 31, 2015They look lovely with a rural scene painted on them .. I have one in my kennel room with a Labrador and my kennel name painted on it. I use mine outside as part of autumn vignettes on my porch or in the front hall. Also great at Christmas with greenery. For spring/summer, take the lid off and insert a pot of flowers to make a planter. I buy one already done at the greenhouse and take the hanger off it.Helpful Reply

Swan Road Designs on Aug 31, 2015Many years ago I had one done for a client who was building a new house. They had the milk can and gave it to me to "do whatever" with it so... Once the house was pretty well done on the outside I waited until there was no one around and took several photos of it. I selected the most flattering one and took it to a local artist. We first painted the can a soft grey, then she painted the house, from the photo, onto the can. She added a few stylized trees and pseudo-landscaping to pretty it up. The client's name was added and the year the house was completed. I had a soft top made for it so it could be used as a stool or extra seating for the client's breakfast room table. When not in use, it sat against a wall near a corner as an accent piece. They loved it. Funny, too, because the "landscaping" the artist added from her imagination is darned near what is around the house now.Helpful Reply
