Donna Leonard on Aug 31, 2015You can paint. Make sure you get spray paint for formica. It's supposed to bond without scratches. There are so many beautifully stenciled tables, now a days.Helpful Reply

Cheryle Fuller on Sep 01, 2015Tile would make it heavy and may interfere with the folding process. I think there are lots of faux leather products you could use on it, painting the wooden edges to update it.Helpful Reply

Janet on Sep 01, 2015You could laminate the top. There are many great looking patterns that look like granite etc. This would not add a lot of weight and it's a pretty easy process.Helpful Reply

Michelle on Sep 01, 2015Do the paper bag floor. I have covered a badly scratched table with it. Stained and varnish. It is show stopper beautiful. Don't tile it. It will make it way to heavy to be utilitarian.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Sep 03, 2015If you want a granite look, checkout www.gianigranite.com. It's a paint, so it will not add weight to your table. I have used it on my counters and it is very durable.Helpful Reply
