Designing a Metal and Wood Fence Panel on a Budget
by

When we decided to redo our fence at the driveway along with the side yard I knew I didn't want the same old regular choices and wanted to incorporate industrial and rustic. This is the design I came up with, and I love it:
corrugated steel, painted gray gives a great balance to wood for home industrial design
the corrugated steel was free from a construction site as it was leftover pieces, it is also
painted it gray so it wasn't a bright, reflective metal
the wood -pressure treated is stained in slate gray
I used pipe to finish the design
3 panels @ $100 each. Not your average fence, so the price was great for a unique design.

It started with the fence, and grew from there. The checkerboard pattern -not done yet, is 18" x 18" diamond pattern tiles and artificial turf. Hot weather has slowed us down as we have done all of this ourselves, meaning mostly my husband and sons...so when it's too hot, I don't push much. But soon, it will be ready for lovely fall evenings. This weekend -we start the fireplace patio area. Wait til you see the grandkids garden area.
