Janet Pizaro on Sep 01, 2015This looks like yucca.Cut the bent stem until most of the soft wood is gone, Repot the piece in a dryer mixture soil. It appears to be rotting but you may be able to save it. The mother plant looks like it needs to be repotted as well. Do not over water.Yucca has dense thick leaves which retain the water just like all succulents.Helpful Reply

Susie on Sep 01, 2015Donna is correct - corn plant or Dracena fragrasans. They can also be variegated. They almost always have some leaves that bend - nothing to worry about.Helpful Reply

Janet Pizaro on Sep 01, 2015Yucca plants are from the same family as corn plants and dracenas. So they all resemble one another.Helpful Reply

Susan on Sep 01, 2015Definitely Dracena. You can just cut off the bendy part and it will re-root. But they do usually have curvy stems because they keep growing and, as they grow, they drop the oldest leaves. I have seen them with leafy stems, but if they have less than perfect growing conditions you will end up with long, curvy stems. I usually cut them off, trim the length to about 3 inches of bare stem and repot. These are really versatile plants and fun to experiment with.Helpful Reply

Bonnie LeBlanc on Sep 03, 2015Fairly certain it's a dracena. But if you google dracena you'll see there are different varieties that exist.Helpful Reply
