Lori on Sep 01, 2015First of all, are the drawers all slightly open or are they in the wrong slots? Try to fix that and add the pulls. I also feel, maybe it is the colour thats not grabbing you. It looks washed out against the wall and floor. Look up at that great golden yellow on your picture, what about that, or a another darker or brighter choice?Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Sep 02, 2015The problem in my opinion is the black frame on your pic. It makes the dresser look ungrounded. Think I would paint the dresser black.Helpful Reply

Jacalyn on Sep 02, 2015Some hardware pulls would help the dresser look more finished, and I would add a small pile of vooks or another grouping on the dresser.Helpful Reply

Kea Interiors on Sep 02, 2015If you plan on keeping the wall art above in the picture, painting the dresser black with black hardware, and wallpaper the front of the drawers. this woud tie the wall art and the dresser together. I attached a pic to give you a visual idea. I hope that this helps :-)Helpful Reply

Chelsea @ Making Manzanita on Sep 03, 2015I think you're right, adding hardware and legs would do a lot for you! Also, I think it's a great idea to replace the middle door looking cabinets with baskets or open shelving. Also staging the top with some fun decor and maybe adding a table runner to the top to add some color?Helpful Reply

Brenda Neagle on Sep 03, 2015Personally, I would start by moving the drawers around to make them "fit" better in their spaces. Next, taking the drawers out of the center is a great idea. Try making them shelves that you could display pretty pieces on. There are tons of tutorials on how to build them out. I would leave it white, add pretty antique gold hardware, and consider painting the top a dark espresso or black. Bring pops of mustard yellow from the painting into pieces in the shelves and onto the top. A lamp on either side would help as well to balance it and give it some weight to compete with the scale of the artwork. :)Helpful Reply

Ajai on Oct 09, 2015I would paint just the insets of the drawers the same (or close) to the color of the flowers and then paint the narrow edges the same as the frame of the picture. That would pull the lamp and the picture to the dresser. You could put short legs on if that would please you. Looks like a fun project. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply
