Can a mock orange bush be cut back?

Janet Pizaro on Sep 02, 2015Spring flowering shrubs should always be cut back after flowering. You can still trim the bush but I would not encourage you to trim it quite that much the bush will not produce enough flowers next season.Helpful Reply

Wanda sinnema on Sep 02, 2015Yes most all flowering bushes can be cut back. Mock orange can be too. I'd do it just after it flowers or in fall.. You might night not get as many blooms next year ...... I alway cut my forsythia back a huge amount just after it blooms,,,,, its always loaded and huge by the next year again.... same for a mock orange... they actually DO BETTER and remain bushy if pruned good every so often..Helpful Reply
