How to clean acorns

I want to make an acorn wreath but first need to clean them of buts that may be in there.

You can either freeze them or put them on a baking sheet and bake them on 300* for 30 to 45 minutes,keep watch to make sure they do not start burning. These will kill any bugs that maybe hidden.

soak them in water and bake them at a low temperature for an hour.

have also soaked them, then let them air dry then and baked them using a 275 degree oven. I placed them on parchment paper then on the baking sheet for 30 minutes.
