  • Meconopsis Grandis or Blue Asiatic Poppy can be difficult to site, It needs loose, well drained fertile soil in part shade. Once established it will bloom like gangbusters for you every June/July. 2
  • Hellebore are a wonderful winter/early spring perennial in the shade garden. This one is particularly beautiful. I ran across it at VanDusen Botanical gardens and have been unable to identify the variety of this double bloom. 1
  • Tricyrtus Toad Lily is a unique perennial in the shade garden. It blooms from late summer to fall with spectacular orchid like blooms.

Painting: To Paint or Not

I have a vintage iron chaise white with some rust. and a glass top table to match. Do I paint it? If so what color? I'm torn and need help with the decision. I'm open for all suggestions, it's in good shape with nice wheels

Thanks.

  • All the rustic bling makes for a fun focal point in the backyard. The white planter box use to be a firetruck parts crate. A couple pallets offer a front step and side walkway. A rusty old vintage headboard became a gate. 9
  • The before. The lovely cow mural was hand painted by a friend, which now is safely in storage until it lands a new location. 4
