5 Tips For Transitioning a Kid Room to a Teen Room

There comes a time in every child's life when they outgrow the little kid room you always thought was so cute. When our kids reached this milestone, however, we did not have a budget that ...»
allowed them to just pick out all their favorite things from a PB Teen catalog. But by using simple DIY projects, organizing, and buying some key items, we were able to upgrade them into affordable young adult rooms, spending just about $150-$200 each (and that included new flooring!).

Here are 5 tips we used to make it easier:

1. Consult with your teen...or not.

2. Clean out the clutter.

3. Eliminate what isn't working in the room.

4. Freshen with paint.

5. Provide some "grown up" accessories.

For LOTS more details and information check out the full post here:

reuse (repurpose those free magnets)

Do you get those advertiser magnets? I get them on my phone books. They are usually coupons or calendars. I've been saving mine, tucked away in a drawer until I saw a blog friend change hers up. That inspired me to get busy.
