No-Sew Window Treatment w/ a Standard Purchased Panel

As a military wife who moved so many times I simply stopped counting, I figured out after the 4th or 5th move that constantly buying new window treatments for every home would get ...»
tiresome and expensive. So I created this easy no-sew window treatment where i could use inexpensive window panels. I have even used shower curtains I found on clearance. You simply fold the panel so that it is the same width as the rod (allow enough to wrap the ends), and double the length you desire the treatment to be (i.e a 22" long drop, fold 44"). Drape over the rod, and use ribbon or cording to draw up the panel on each end to create a draping affect. Easy, easy!

My fall mantel with a warm glow

I wanted my mantle to have a warm and cozy feeling for fall. I made a wreath with rusty red and gold colored sunflowers and hung it on the mirror. Then I added the lanterns with candles ...»
on each side. Oh how I love lanterns! I added some sunflowers, berries, greenery, votives, pumpkins, books and a pheasant to finish it off.

5-Min Fall Arrangement

I am a huge recycler of floral stems. I have several Bins-o-Stems which I can draw from to create any number of floral arrangements. This is the perfect example. When I need a little ...»
"something-something" to add to this vignette, I whipped out a few basic fall-colored florals and berries, a large grapevine globe from Michael's and this is what I created. Hope you enjoy!

A Rat Infestation! Planning for Some Halloween Giggles

Help! I have a serious rat infestation! ;) Halloween is still a little ways off, but I wanted to share one of my fave decorating ideas now because as soon as these Martha Stewart ...»
silhouette critters hit the stores, they always sell out super fast. I found them in Michaels the year I bought them. They are easy to apply and reusable. I always put them up around October 1st so I can enjoy them all month long. They make me giggle every time I head up the stairs.
