people or even one person. Just get a book or print out instructions online. You could save yourself a few bucks, then just hire out the countertops. They are a little trickier, especially by yourself.

When I discuss a remodel project with a client we try to cover what their main 3 or 4 points are...and what "needs" or desires are not being met by their current setup. Some minor lighting upgrades ( under-cabinet light) some new paint and hardware can come in pretty economically. Replacing a counter or refacing cabinets is the "middle ground" On the upper scale is a full gut...re-arranging things...new cabinets and appliances etc. Something like that for a 10 x10 can be up near 10 k or more.
In this project I Added some granite tile and some surface upgrades to the back of the island...The granites "costs" here were in the 600 range.
