Today I’m going to show you how to clean an air fryer. Does anyone else love their air fryer? This has to be the best purchase we’ve made when buying kitchen appliances. We use this every day!

I use this method to clean my air fryer every couple of weeks to keep things looking fresh and spotless. With just a few simple tools and some effective cleaners, you'll have your appliance looking as good as new. Let's get started!

Tools and materials

  • Mrs. Hinch home spray (or a preferred all-purpose cleaner)
  • CIF lemon cream cleaner (or a similar cream cleaner)
  • Scrub brush
  • Microfiber cloth or paper towels
  • Water
  • Optional: gloves to protect your hands
Wiping down the surfaces

1. Wipe Down the Surfaces

Start by giving all the surfaces of your appliance a good wipe-down using the Mrs. Hinch home spray (or your chosen all-purpose cleaner). Spray the cleaner onto a microfiber cloth or directly onto the surfaces.

2. Tackle the Trays

Next, it's time to focus on the trays. Apply a small amount of CIF lemon cream cleaner (or your preferred cream cleaner) onto each tray.

Using a scrub brush, gently scrub the trays, paying special attention to areas with stubborn stains or grease buildup. The cream cleaner's abrasive action will help lift away the grime without damaging the surface.

3. Rinse, Dry, and Replace the Trays

After you've given the trays a good scrub, rinse them thoroughly with warm water. Make sure to remove all traces of the cream cleaner. Once rinsed, pat the trays dry using a clean microfiber cloth or paper towels. This will help prevent water spots and ensure a clean, shiny finish. Place the trays back into the air fryer unit.

Tip: Gloves for Protection

If you have sensitive skin or are working with strong cleaners, you might consider wearing gloves to protect your hands from any potential irritation.
