Hello. Cleaning the toilet with Kool-Aid is a current fad, but I don’t recommend it. Kool-Aid is sweet and can attract ants. It is being used to get kids to help with the cleaning. The gritty nature of Kool-Aid is similar to the gritty nature of baking soda. Typically warm water and vinegar will clean most anything in the bathroom. For soap scum in the shower, combine baking soda and vinegar — spray on and let sit for a while, and then rinse off. Click on the link below for details.

The citric acid is supposed to clean the porcelain.....for my hard water stains it didnt work At all. Good luck!

For some reason, this technique is a fad. As far a cleaning a toilet though, using Koolaid is senseless, as for this purpose, using only a substance that will kill bacteria is absolutely necessary.
the lemon koolaid contains citric acid, a mild acid that will dissolve lime scale. you can get citric acid in the canning supply isle. its also used to preserve flavor and texture of home canned products.
