Cultured marble is pretend marble. It can be costly and beautiful. It looks like real marble, and can even include ground marble, but it is softer than real marble, which is a soft stone anyway. Cultured marble is made with a resin to make it hard. Soft cleansers and "magic erasers" are the gentlest, noncaustic cleaners you can use on your tub surround. Obviously, you need water filters, if that is possible, but retrofitting a tub is often very difficult compared to sinks, but it's worth considering. Best wishes 😇
Vinegar is what I use. Your sales people and / or installers should have told you what to use. Shame on them. Here are a couple links to help you out! Enjoy your mid-century modern home!
