I am swooning over this guy. I imagine a million hung up in my backyard during Summer with twinkle lights or even dancing underneath them at my best friend's wedding. Hang one above your crib out of the baby's reach and you have a boho chic nursery mobile. What would you use it for? Comment down below!
Gather your materials: yarn, ribbon, lace, rope or twine - whatever you want to be hanging off your mobile dealio, scissors, hot glue, a circle base, faux florals or whatever accessory you want to top trim to be.
This is how I hung this up: I add four dabs of hot glue in the shape of a X on the circle base, I cut two equal pieces of rope, twine, fishing line, whatever and then connect them into a X. There are plenty of other DIY ways to hang it!
Whenever I am working with creating a garland of any sort: I always line the thing I am trimming with a piece of ribbon. This will act as my guideline to know how much I need and be to able to not break my back trying to create it how I want it.
If you are choosing this guideline method, start to hot glue everything onto it until your heart is happy. You can just glue it directly to the inside of the circle base as well! You don't have to do my tip/trick.
Glue the strand to the inside of the circle.
I do it with the ribbon facing out which makes it look way more clean! Not that anyone would judge but I just like keeping things as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
You can even trim the excess that you can see kind of fraying up above the circle.
Add your faux florals or whatever accessory you want to the trim. It can be seashells, pom poms, CRYSTALS! Wait crystals would be amazing.
This is the finished product! I leave the ends as is because I never can decide how to cut it.
This beautiful HUGE rose is from my Dollar Store. I would suggest rummaging through the floral section and finding these puppies while you can!
There is another idea for a Boho Nursery Mobile/Chandelier dealio on my YouTube channel that I post new DIY's on every Wednesday. Could you hang this on a ceiling light using a low wattage light bulb?

I just love this. It would be a fresh look in a garden setting too.

Your ribbon trick is practically GENIUS!!! I was taught to make whatever I handmade, as pretty on the back as it is on the front! Cover your work with something! Or the items kinda look not quite finished. This is a Great Idea!!! I will be making a few of these as gifts, one for me, maybe some for on my covered patio. Who knows!!!
