Ask your hardware dealer about painting over ceramic tile.. I feel sure he/she can help with ideas. Could ask paint store too.
You can buy decals that you can place over the fruit (after you've painted over it to hide it). There is special tile paint specifically for this purpose.
Hello Ileene, Start with removing the fruit tile. This needs several tools to do this job. You'll need to remove the grout from around the tiles.
You'll also need the material to put on the back to hold the new tile in place. Next is the grout around the new tile. Find a professional at Home advisor.com. You probably need someone who just does tile. Good Luck !
