If your baseboard is taller than the register, you could place it tight to the baseboard. If the base is lower, you will need to either cut the base to fit the register against the wall or cut a piece of wood to fill the gap at the top behind the register. Before cutting anything, first make sure the register will cover the front of the hole in the floor.
Mine sit against the wall, with the baseboard butting up to it on each side.
I recommend you to have this siting against the wall. Because if one day you want to change the baseboard you will be able to do this with any specific measurements.
I just looked at mine and the baseboards are cut to allow the vent to be against the wall.
that's a wall type register, you need to cut the base board so; it can fit against the wall
I would cut the base boards so they were flush with register
Those are cool registers, where do I find them?
i have both and I like the ones installed in the wall because they stay a lot cleaner. Thing drop down into my floor vents.
Mine is tucked into a cut out of the baseboard. Not attached, sits fine and can be moved for cleaning the floor and the grate, Mine are metal, love the wood.
