Hi there that sounds about the size of my living room and I just ordered a rug that is 5x7. Our sofa is 6 feet so the rug will span that plus the 5 feet gives us plenty of room for a coffee table in the middle of it without covering the whole rug up. Hope that helps!

These are the standard rug sizes:

"Standard Rug Sizes. The most common sizes are: 2′ x 3′, 2′ x 4′, 3′ x 5′, 4′ x 6′, 5′ x 8′ and 6′ x 9′. Also widely used are the following: 7′ x 10′, 8′ x 10′, 9′ x 12′, 10′ x 13′, 10′ x 14′ and 12′ x 15′. " You could do the 13' X 10' and have only 1 foot of floor visible if that is what you like or if you want the rug to accent the room and not serve as a carpet, you could use a 6' X 9' and have 4' and 5' of your floor visible. Center the rug so it is in front of the couch and under the chair and small table. http://www.dimensionsinfo.com/rug-sizes/

I've always been told that a rug should be large enough to have 12-18 inches of floor showing all around the edges. The front feet of your sofa & chair should be on the rug. An 8x10 rug will allow 18 inches of floor to show all the way around. A 9x12 will allow 12 inches on the 2 "short" sides & 6 inches on the 2 "long" sides. This will give you more of a "carpet" look. Up to you.

9x11 should do ,,if this is too costly get two 5x7 and duct tape them together on the back, then u have a 7x10 that will work too
