Even at the lower end of their winter hardiness range, U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 4 through 9, English ivy retains its dark green foliage throughout the winter. And it's beautiful! They even sell it at Walmart.
Hmm, vines die back in the winter and come back in the spring. I’ll wait to see what other Hometalkers say. ☺️
Jewlell, Amy is correct, it will not die back. It may turn a little yellow on parts of it, but it will not die back. Another vine that keeps it,s color through winter is Winter creeper.
