I need suggestions for growing grass under a cedar tree? Is it possibl

    cedar trees, pine trees....they drop their needles which acidifies the soil. i've been at house no.3 now for 3 yrs now and just beginning to get grass to grow under the cedar tree. rake up the tree litter an mulch- i used wood chips and a bit of lime.

    Rake exsisting debris,apply top soil,lime,grass seed for shade,starter fertilizer and top with peat moss and keep the soil moist.

    You don't mention how large your tree is or if you've trimmed off the lower limbs. The tree if it isn't fully grown will take over and cover where you plant grass seed anyway.
