Look on Pinterest! I have seen lots of odd things (including old fridges and freezers) made into planters. I just wouldn't know how to go about it myself - I suppose making sure it drains well would be important so you don't breed mosquitos or worse in standing water. But if you want to lay it on its 'back' - that's where all the coiling is and I think and maybe it has stuff in it you shouldn't be messing with by cutting into it. I just don't know. But I know I've seen them out there. Good luck! JH
Are you taking out the"guts" of the freezer and just using the case? The pump and coolant need to be disposed of by a professional. IT could leak coolant and other nasty toxic stuff into the ground. I'm really curious how this turns out - I hope you post pictures!
