A pyrex bowl got stuck in my quart pyrex measuring cup. I tried soaking on dawn but it doesn’t budge. Please help. TIA

I honestly don't know if this will work, but what about pouring some oil between the pieces, then see if a thin knife blade could go between them to break the grip between them.

Been there. Try setting ice cubes and some water in the bowl and then quart container in hot water in sink. (expansion on hot, contraction in cold). I’d probably try rubbing a bit of Dawn or oil around the places where they’re sticking too.

In the future, if you’re stacking, I’ve learned to use coffee filters between. Good luck. Maybe someone with come up with something more clever

Add ice water to the inside bowl. Set the two locked together bowls into a

larger bowl and fill the larger bowl with hot water, but do not overflow. The inside bowl will contract from the cold and the outside bowl will expand from the heat.

Figure out how to carefully heat the outer one to "enlarge" it? Maybe put it in a bowl of hot water with ice cubes in the inner one?

The hot water on the outside bowl and ice on the inside bowl has always worked for me, as well. That small amount of expansion of the outer bowl and the contraction of the inner bowl should give enough room to take them apart.

Yeah! I'm sure that all of us who posted this idea are happy you found success! I have a specific set of glass bowls that does this all the time if they aren't stacked exactly in the right way. (which happens often LOL) They aren't Pyrex but the same principle applies. :)

Have you tried getting the outside bowl hot in hot water, gradually increase the heat though! Don’t put a cold bowel in hot water too quickly or it could break!

Mid you can warm up the outside bowl enough it may expand enough to let the inside bowel slide out!. If that don’t work and your down to your last wits end! I try spaying between the bowels with WD40 all the way around. But I don’t know if this will stain or harm your bowels? You will want to wash them good with some good soap like the Dawn you mentioned right away if they come apart? Since I don’t know if this will damage the bowel, I would save this choice for a last resort! Btw, WD40 is also highly flammabl, so keep it away from any heat source while doing this and make sure your bowels are clean and free of WD40 before using them anywhere near your stove or oven! If your trying to remove it by yourself, if you can get another person to help you may have better luck too! If you haven’t yet, try turning the bowel as your trying to lift up and see if that works?Hope this helps! Good luck
