mushrooms and the fungus are growing on underground decaying matter..you can try to stop but it’s almost impossible..walk your lawn wearing gloves and bag and remove any you find but you have to stay on it... common vinegar will kill it but can damage surrounding greenery. not impossible to rid, but nearly so...

Fungus growth also requires moisture. Is the mushroom growth continuous or during certain times of the year? Your yard maybe holding extra water in pockets and may need some extra soil there to move the water elsewhere. If you find mushroom growth appearing remove them immediately before it opens up and spread spores. Throw them in the garbage and not in the compost.

  • Yesterday someone on here said she shook some Epsom Salts over the area and it worked. I have yet to try it.

Some of the best natural treatments for mushrooms include dish soap and water, baking soda and water, and even vinegar. These treatments will kill the mushrooms as they have now surfaced, but you will need additional preventative measures to keep them away.
