How do i keep spittle bugs off of my mint?

    You can mak a homemade solution :
    hot peppersgarlicwater andliquid soap
    ‘Blend them together and strain out and of the lumps. Put it in a spray bottle and spray the leaves of your mint.
    in the fall be sure to clear any debris from your garden to keep them from laying eggs near your garden .
    i looked for this recipe online because I thought you might ask. I know that i would the first time I was doing it. There is a link below. I didn’t read it but it might be worth checking it out.

    Organic spittlebug killer recipe 1/2 cup hot peppers, diced 6 cloves garlic, peeled 2 cups water 2 teaspoons liquid soap (without bleach) Puree peppers, garlic and water together. Let sit for 24 hours. Strain and mix in the liquid soap. Wipe the plant foam off the plant and spray all parts of the plant.

      thank you so much for your help. i will do just that. i also know tobacco juice is good for alot of pests. i didn't get aroud to makg any this summer. thanks again.

    Hi Patricia. I'm Cindy. I did some reading about spittle bugs. I learned that, generally, the spittle bugs will not harm your mint plants. If you can't tolerate the spittle bugs, you can dislodge them with a forceful spray of water. You can use your garden hose for this purpose. Wishing you well Patricia.
