You can try smothering them out with heavy black plastic if nothing has worked for you.
Dig them up and give the tubers away....someone will be grateful!
Sometimes the "babies" get missed when you dig these out. They are small about the size of a pea. You have to dig the hole out remove the bulb and all the babies. If they come back up and you don't want to dig anymore you will need to spray them. Please give them away as you did!
First, mow or if too tall weed-eat them as close to the ground as possible. Then, when the cuts are fresh, use glyphosate (Round-up) at the mixture rate on the label. It will kill Hemerocallis (invasive wild day lilies). It may take a couple of applications, but it will do the job.
I don't like using chemicals, but Round-up breaks down harmlessly in the soil in within 5 days, and is non-toxic to pets and people in less than 24 hours. It is basically not toxic to anything but plants. Of all the herbicides out there...it takes the least environmental toll.
About the only worrying thing I've heard about Round-Up(glyphosate)is that it has been showing up in the belly fat of wild rabbits, and there were no ill effects shown in the rabbits, until the researchers killed them to check out their belly fat.
How about getting rid of tiger Lillys with out chemicals
