theres no easy way but to chip off the broken tiles and chip away at the grout to give you room for the new grout and tiles eric
I have the exact same set adn I had a few pieces chip off the edges and was able to glue them back on with Gorilla Glue. I see you had more damage than I did but it looks like you can chip off the old tiles and put new ones on. I wasn't sure that is under the tiles but it looks like there is a base of som kind under them. If you finish it, please let me know as I am sure I will need to do the same eventually.
Take the whole top off, get a peice of cement board and put it on. put down new tile. Seal, seal seal !!!
How about break up on that tile, mix in some found pieces- ceramic, stone, glass- and do a mosaic. You'll likely love the change. Good luck.
