Sorry folks! Left out an important item in my previous posted question!!! Forgive me, I'm a senior!!! Was wondering if I could spray paint a kitchen faucet to change the finish … if it would hold up using Rustoleum spray paint.

  • You can try, but I live alone and even though I am "gentle use" on my things, it wouldn't hold up to daily repeated use in my house. Some may feel otherwise.

Yes! This project uses rustoleum spray paint. She also sprays it with automobile primer and uses a sealer.

I left a response/question for you, but not sure I put it in the right spot!!!! I was asking how long your painted bathroom faucets have now been in use since spray painting and how well it is holding up! Thank you~

So how long have you been using this faucet etc. since spray painting it? I'm curious as to how it is holding up. The kitchen faucet I have purchased is brand new, not installed as yet so I don't have the issue of taping things off thankfully! It is a discontinued model … a REAL brass faucet w/chrome finish … a wonderful cross between retro and contemporary look. I was wanting to spray paint it an antique nickel finish to coordinate w/my kitchen light fixtures, but want to ensure it will hold up.
