Fairly updated wooden model comes with the glider ottoman, seems to only squeak when sitting all the way back.

arent you meant to rub a candle over something when it squeaks, the candle wax eliminates rubbing i.e. wood on wood..steel on steel

You most likely need to re-glue the chair to the sliders and the sliders to the base.. the chair may not appear to rise from the sliders,, but having had one like this myself.. (and I hate squeaks,,,really hate squeaks, like nails on a chalkboard hate!) I had my husband sit in the chair and rock it, back as far as it would go and forward as far as it would go.. I lay on the floor and watched.. that is when I saw the chair rise out of the gliders, AND the sliders rise out of the base,, so we turned the chair upside down, and then the parts that were squeaking were pulled right out, sanded the now exposed parts,, glued them and put them back.. allow to dry for 24 to 48 before rocking,, I hope this helps!!

Silicone will give better lasting lubrication, but WD40 works well for initial sticking problems.
