Is there any way to fix wood furniture that has been bleached out?

I'm just grabbing at straws at asking this question because I pretty know what the answer will be, but I thought I'd ask anyway, but is there anyway to fix wood furniture easily and inexpensively that has some of its finish rubbed off? There are some bleached out spots (white) on my furniture. I think I might have accidentally left a towel with Murphy's Oil in it laying on top of my end/side table and wondered if there's a way to get it out without going through much trouble and work and do it that won't be too expensive. Thank You!

If it is instead: Wax Build up, you can try rubbing alcohol.

If that does not work it is a deeper stain.

You can disassemble and soak in White Vinegar or Ajax or Pine Sol for days but often that destroys the Finish anyway so you end up needing to Sand, Stain and Polyurethane anyhow.

Only other solution might bd a wood stain pen to just color it and make it less noticeable.

Without seeing it or knowing the finish, I'm just guessing. Old English makes a product called scratch cover. I've only seen it in a dark wood color but have heard they also make a lighter one. If it's kind of close, you could try it.

If that doesn't get it, try buying fine steel wool and lightly scuff the finish. This will "open up the finish" to accept a stain. You can match it/blend it in.

I hope one of these works. If not, a complete refinish may be in your future.

Try this for water/moisture spots on furniture. Place a clean cloth over the spot. Iron set to medium heat and iron over the cloth. A dab of white toothpaste on a damp cloth and gently rub in a circular motion.

You can always Sand it down and re-satin it to your favorite shade or color.
