this happens to us all the time. We just pull the plug out of the ceiling motor and put it back in. It resets it, at least for us...
your question was cut off. If you are asking how you can open the door without electricity, there should be a rope of some kind hanging from the track above. you can open it manually. It is a feature for times when electricity may be lost, just like it has a sensor to keep the door from closing if something is under it. If that's not your question, then retype it and or finish from where it was cut off. I hope the electricity comes back soon!
There could be a reset button on the ceiling box.
You are right Barbara, most doors do have a reset button, I didn'teven think of that. I assumed the electricity was off now ( lol) but if it's on and not working and a rest button doesn't work then check for a breaker switch that may have flipped off or blown a fuse. hope it's back on.
