If this mat has given you years of service it is time to move on. Good quality natural rubber has a very limited life and when it starts to return itself to the earth it will become brittle and little bits will break off every time you move it. Thank it sincerely for its service and kick it to the curb.
Don't kick it anywhere. You can cut it for under your plants, use it for mud rooms, catch oil drips under the car, line outdoor steps, put under the cat litter box...
