About Me:

I'm passionate about all things green - saving money, eating a plant-based diet, being conscious of the environment, etc. I teach yoga and love to run. I'm inspired by my two big black dogs. And I like to create new things from old junk. :)

Favorite area of home improvement:

Reusing and Repurposing.

Design & Décor: Plastic panels in a kitchen with flourescent lighting, drop...

Changed to cedar with beautiful lights, husband is 6'4 easy to walk under, does not show well in pic. The lights are so easy to replace if a problem with one, just a twist and turn, each is seperate, but altogether, each plank moves for eazy access if any problems with lights, I see none. He did the entire kitchen and dining and lanai, my viet nam vet, so proud of him, They promised to but ramps in for his wheel chair, then he can get to next project :). Gotta love um....

Tip for a smooth finish on your refinishing projects

I use brown paper for "sanding" between coats on all my furniture refinishing projects. No metal fuzzies from steel wool and no cost if using paper bags otherwise headed for the recycle bin. http://plumdoodles.com/2012/05/29/tipsy-tues...
