DIY Ruffle SHower Curtain

We are in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and I can not wait to show you the before and afters! For now this is the shower curtain that I made! There are 20 rows of ruffles, starting with black, 5 shades of grey, (50 was too many!) and then the top is white! It was a lot of work, but I love the result! I used a combination of fabirc and flat sheets! I am really glad I have a ruffler foot!

  • If this is a recurring problem and the staining is chronic, there may be no way to remove the stain as it may have etched itself into the porcelain.
  • Most staining is not that bad and can be successfully removed if you know how but regular toilet bowl cleaners or powdered chlorine based cleansers will not solve this problem. 1

DIY Framed Burlap Monogram

I have been wanting to make a Framed Monogram Letter to go on the shelf just below the door bell box in my foyer. I think that a Framed Monogram Letter would be the perfect piece to not only hide that awful looking box but to add character to the foyer. I wanted to use Burlap because I think it goes with the shabby chic theme not to mention I just love Burlap!!

This is such an easy project, it only took me about 30 minutes to make and since I had quite a bit of ...»

Similar to buffet posted earlier w/ marble top (but cheaper!)

Buffet posted earlier today had a marble top, priced at $500. Here's a similar way of getting the same look for under $70. Thrift store buffet ($9), primer ($15) faux stone spray paint ($16), hammered metal spray paint for hardware ($8) , & black glaze ($20). *Yeah, the thrift store buffet was really $9! Unbelievable! But sometimes they find it hard to get rid of HUGE pieces like that so wait & they'll be marked down.
